Video Submission Guidelines

Introduction

Before submitting your content through the form below, be sure that you own complete rights to all videos submitted through this platform. If we find any evidence that you have violated these terms, we reserve the right to terminate connections.

For easier processing of submitted videos, please read all the guidelines before proceeding to upload content.
 

Sensitive Content Standards

We reserve the right to reject content that is considered inappropriate or graphic. This content can include but is not limited to content containing sexually explicit or suggestive content, acts of violence being performed to or by humans or animals, and gore.
 

Technical Requirements

All videos must meet these requirements to be considered for acceptance.

Labelling
Please label videos according to the place where videos were taken (i.e. tourist spot like Magpupungko Rock Pools, Siargao or restaurant like Kermit Surf Resort and Restaurant) or the specific activity being done (i.e. Surfing at Cloud 9, Siargao) or food/drink that was shot (i.e. coffee at bag of beans)

Format:
Any of the following

  • MOV
  • MP4
  • AVI
  • MPEG-2

Resolution:
Any of the following

  • 1280 x 720 (HD)
  • 1920 x 1080 (HD)
  • 3840 x 2160 (4K)
  • 4096 x 2160 (4K)
  • 4096 x 2304 (4K)

File Size per Video:
Maximum – 5GB

Footage Duration:
Minimum – 30 seconds
Maximum – 3 minutes
 

Visual Standards

We are looking for unique, high quality videos taken using a good quality camera with sharp focus, proper lighting, and stable shots. Please refer to possible content quality rejection reasons below.
 

Content Quality Rejection Reasons

If you do not meet the technical specifications required above, then your content is automatically rejected. For reference, here are some of the other potential reasons for rejection.

  • Out of focus or blurred
  • Footage is too unstable
  • Contains visual noise (i.e. scratches, dust, lens dampness)
  • Pixelated
  • Overexposed or underexposed
  • Poor framing
  • Poor post processing
  • Content with watermarks
  • Bad audio quality
  • Many similar videos
  • Inappropriate content
  • Content that has been manipulated with false information
  • Contains copyrighted or trademarked elements like copyrighted music
  • Selfies or groufies

 

Acceptance Process

Within a week, you will be informed regarding the status of your video pitch. If the pitch has been accepted, you can submit your video contribution via e-mail where payment will be discussed as well.

Accepted contributor videos will be used in Explore Traveloka videos, guides, blog posts, and landing pages and will also be used for Traveloka social media posts.
