15 Fun Ways to Kill Time and Boredom While on Lockdown

With the Enhanced Community Quarantine implemented across several areas in the country, most of us are spending our days indoors to keep safe from COVID-19.

For some, it’s an opportunity to do things that they have been putting off or didn’t have the chance to do in the first place, while others may be struggling with boredom and simply getting through each day.

It’s normal to feel bored. Here are some of our recommended activities to get rid of boredom and feel more productive and happy throughout the lockdown days:

1. Get cooking!

Being on lockdown has allowed many people to tap into their cooking skills. With most restaurants closed and with limited delivery services, people are more likely to be in the kitchen to whip up their own meals.

You might miss eating out, but that doesn’t mean you can’t spice up your food life during this time. Be bold and learn new recipes online or try your hand at baking and learn to make your own bread and other delicious pastries.

2. Exercise


It’s important to keep yourself healthy during this time and staying indoors can easily make you feel lethargic if you don’t get much physical activity throughout the day.

Doing cardio raises your heart rate and makes your muscles stronger. You can make your workouts more fun by doing dance routines to your favorite songs online or taking part in workout challenges that you have to complete within a certain period of time.

Yoga can also be a great way to get that flexibility back and can be a form of meditation. You can find videos online for yoga routines to fit your daily schedule.

3. Try your hand at gardening
