Number one on the list goes to Qatar Airways, the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar. The airline recently launched their “Super WiFi” which boasts speeds of up to 50 mbps. All passengers get their first hour use of the high-speed broadband for free, while they can enjoy unlimited access for just $10. Qatar Airways is the first Middle Eastern airline to offer this technology. The broadband service is currently available in their Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft.
Second on the list with a score of 88.4 over a hundred is another premium Middle Eastern airline -- Emirates. The airline offers one of the best in-flight entertainment selections in the world with over 3,500 movie channels, and up to 20mb of free WiFi per passenger.
Number three goes to the American, Delta, followed by British Airways and JetBlue, the only low-cost carrier on the list. Surprisingly, Singapore Airlines, who was named the world’s best airline, fell quite low on the list at number 14. This proves that most airlines, despite having an excellent reputation for their premium services, have to look into upgrading their in-flight connectivity and entertainment offerings to maintain their ranking.
