Where You Should Travel Based on Your Zodiac Sign: 2018 Edition

While there’s a million reasons to get up and travel more, the coming of a new year is a great excuse to refresh our bucket-lists. So, if you haven’t finalized your bookings for 2018, why not just follow the stars? Here’s where you should travel based on your zodiac sign:

1. Aries (March 21 to April 19)

Aries are considered to be the thinkers and leaders among all the zodiacs signs. What’s a better way to test your leadership than a well-planned solo trip? A great place to test the waters of solo travel is Singapore.

Though it’s significantly smaller than its neighboring countries, the Lion City packs quite a number of museums, architectural gems, and educational tours, that will surely appeal to the Aries’ constant thirst for knowledge.

2. Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Taurus are known to be creatures of habit whose idea of a good time includes a glass of wine and a good meal. But since it’s the new year, it’s the right time for Tauruses to get out of their comfort zones.

Without diving in head first, you could join a wine tasting tour in Beijing, China. And while you’re there you can’t miss out on all the amazing sights — the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and more.

3. Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Geminis love to talk and engage in discussions that would require them to think critically. If you’re a Gemini, the best adventure for you this 2018 would be somewhere where you don’t speak the language.

So, with a dual-language dictionary in hand, head over to Tokyo, stay in a hostel, converse with the locals, and get to know the colorful city thru the eyes of its people.

4. Cancer (June 21-July 22)

It is important for Cancers to feel a semblance of home wherever they go. For the lovers and givers of the zodiac, it’s a great idea to travel to local, and discover places like Siargao. There, they can fall in love with the ocean, its waves, and the beautiful people that call it home.

5. Leo (July 23 – Aug 22)

A Leo’s love for art and self expression will dictate his choice of travels this year. Events like festivals, art shows, and concerts are good for their vibrant personality.

While you’re planning out your year, make sure to mark your calendars for festivals such as the awaited Masskara in Bacolod. The Leo in you will have a blast meeting people from all over and dancing on the streets until dawn.

6. Virgo (Aug 23 – Sept 22)

People born on these dates are notorious for being extremely organized. It’s not unusual for Virgos to have to-do-lists or well thought out itineraries before travelling to a destination. That’s why for 2018, it’s important for you to take a breather.

Take a week off for a trip to Bali, book nothing but your flight and hotel, and leave everything else up to fate. The sound of the waves and the easy-going lifestyle in the charming surfing town is good for the Virgo’s soul.

7. Libra (Sept 23 – Oct 22)

For Libras, it’s all about finding the right balance. When it comes to travel, this could mean having just the right amount of adventure and relaxation, as well as the perfect mix of travel companions. A great place for Libras would be Taiwan.

Though it’s most famous for its bustling city, other must-visits include the town of Jiufen, a quaint old town set on a mountain; and the Elephant Mountain, a hiking trail where you can catch a stunning view of the skyline.

8. Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

For Scorpios, it’s best to take a trip that would encourage some sort of healing and growth. Whether you’re trying to get over a bad break-up or simply looking for a break from work, choose a destination that would do you good.

You can find this in places like the beautiful town of Siem Reap, Cambodia. The simplicity and kindness of its people, and stark difference from city life alone, will recharge you in ways you won’t expect.

9. Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Considered to be the biggest traveler of the all the zodiac signs, it’s important for people born on these dates to find meaning in their travels. For this, the Sagittarius can take a trip to Batanes where they can completely detach from needless worries and see the beauty of the world, no-filter-necessary.

10. Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Capricorns are always up for a challenge. That’s why your travel bucket-list should include a place that would satisfy the daredevil in you – like, Mount Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia.

Thousands of people from all over the world visit the UNESCO heritage site to complete the challenge every year. Despite its eye-popping (13,435 ft) elevation, no special equipment is needed to complete the climb.

11. Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

Aquarius are known to be free-spirited and eccentric people. This year, you must let go of things that hold you back, and embrace the fun-loving traveler in you. Bring some like-minded friends and visit the colorful island of Phuket.

Phuket is famous for their non-stop partying, delicious food, beautiful beaches, and enough shopping and tours to keep you entertained for weeks.

12. Pisces (Feb 19 – March 20)

To keep in touch with their element (water), it’s best for Pisces to make time for a trip by the ocean. Considering your friendly nature, a great vacation for you would be a trip to La Union.

The popular surf town is filled with people from all over the world bonding over music, art, food and just mutual love for the beach. Make the trip alone, and you’ll leave with a whole new barkada.
