Unique Hotels in the Philippines: Plan Your Next Trip Now!

When we gush about hotels, it’s usually because of their service, their food, or their amenities. It’s not often that we remember rooms, because oftentimes they look so much alike.

However, things have slowly begun to change as more and more hotels are seeking to distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack. A memorable room is certainly a value-add that ensures customers are still talking about the hotel, even after they’ve left.

There are several hotels here in the country whose rooms are sure to stick in travelers’ minds. Check out our recommendations and see if you find one you want to see.

The Henry Hotel Manila

This 4-star hotel in F.B. Harrison Street in Pasay City can be accessed from three different train stations. The EDSA LRT station, the Taft Avenue MRT station, and the Baclaran LRT station are all less than a kilometer away from it.

Hotel H2O

If you love the Manila Ocean Park and want to extend that feeling to your accommodations, this 4-star hotel in Manila is a great choice. It’s literally right beside the Ocean Park — you can even see some attractions out your window.

Why here? Hotel H2O has three kinds of rooms that really embodies its ocean inspiration. The Aqua and Aqua Supreme rooms both have life-sized aquariums incorporated into the design. The Acqua Jellies rooms, on the other hand, have jellyfish tanks.

The Henry Hotel Cebu

Even before you enter, this 4-star Cebu hotel is already striking, with what looks like huge globs of paint dripping down its facade. It’s also near to the Parkmall and the Gaisano Country Mall, so you’ve got shopping options nearby if you ever venture out your room.

Why here? Just like its Manila cousin, rooms at The Henry Hotel Cebu are definitely memorable. While the Manila branch deals with nostalgia, The Henry Hotel Cebu features rooms that have an industrial feel, with murals painted by visual artist Mark Luzon.

Luks Lofts Hotel and Residences

This 5-star establishment in Batangas is already memorable even before you get to the rooms. It has a striking beveled facade that is definitely eye-catching, and the lobby interiors are sleek and contemporary.

Canvas Boutique Hotel

Right in the heart of Puerto Princesa, this 4-star hotel is only a six-minute walk from the Puerto Princesa International Airport. That’s reason enough to book here, especially if you want a nap immediately after a long flight. But wait until you see the rooms.

Victoria Court Malate

If you’re in a bind and need a quick escape, any Victoria Court is a good choice. But this line of budget-friendly accommodations have already made a name several years ago for its themed rooms, which draw inspiration from pop culture, among other things.
