Have you experienced finding an ideal hotel for your next vacation only to discover that you can’t complete your booking because you don’t have enough funds at that moment? In cases when you can’t immediately pay for your staycation, you can opt to use Traveloka’s Pay at Hotel feature.
As its name suggests, Pay at Hotel lets you secure a hotel booking even without paying in advance. You get to pay the full amount during your actual stay, using either cash or a credit card. However, note that payment methods may vary depending on the hotel.
You have a safety net, as well, when you book properties with this payment option. In case you need to cancel your reservation, you will be able to get a refund. Keep in mind that a small fee might be charged for canceled bookings.
Using this feature is as easy as it sounds. Here’s what you need to do :
When searching for a hotel, you’ll be asked to indicate your chosen destination and the number of guests, as well as the number of days you’ll be staying.
After searching, you’ll be seeing hotel options with the “Pay at Hotel Available” label. Another way to check the hotels that allow this service is by clicking on the “Pay at Hotel” filter on the page.
To finalize a reservation, enter your credit card details. Remember that no amount will be deducted from your card (unless you are a no-show—in which case, a fee will be deducted). The information is just for confirmation purposes only. Do note that some hotels may pre-authorize your credit card.
Expect to receive your booking voucher on your registered email in an hour or less.
Store the voucher on your phone or print it before checking in. Show it to the hotel’s front desk staff then pay the full amount by cash or by card.
